Are you good at relationships? Can you be your authentic self? Do you have a high level of responsibility? Can you be dynamic, enthusiastic, friendly and committed? Are you good at seeing things through? Do you have good life skills and willing to share them? And best of all, do you relish working in the outdoors and don’t mind the weather too much?
If you can answer YES to all these things then you have the individual qualities we are looking for and could be just the person for us!
Boot Up Outdoor Learning are often seeking an enthusiastic and reliable person to work with our vulnerable and often very challenging young people ages 8 -18yrs on a range of outdoor learning activities.
Activities range from arts & crafts, nature studies, gardening, green woodwork, construction & carpentry and Forest School activities, and individuals with new ideas and practices are always welcome.
As young people access our services as part of their educational setting, support with vocational qualifications for our clients is expected.
The practically-perfect person will need to be available TERM-TIME only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (or a mix of 3 out of 4 to be arranged) from 9am-3pm.
The work is SESSIONAL and the perfect-person is expected to plan, run and facilitate their sessions as well as helping out with the general running of the site and not be shy of a bit of washing up!
The wages are £10 per hour for each 6 hour session. Applicants will be self-employed.
Some of the perks are opportunities for training and learning from the other practitioners plus a free lunch (Yes there really is such a thing!) and refreshments through the day. Plus you get to work with great people and clients in a lovely rural location.
If you feel you fit the bill, please call or text Jane on 07967132919 or message via Facebook in the first instance then email firstname.lastname@example.org with the reasons why you feel you meet the requirements and what you can bring to the party.
An interview could be arranged with an opportunity for a short practical demonstration of your skills.
