Freelance Bushcraft/Forest School/Outdoor Learning Practitioner

We are looking for a Freelance Bushcraft/Forest School Outdoor Learning Practitioner with Boot Up! Outdoor Learning

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Outdoor Learning Instructor with bushcraft and/or Forest School experience to work with a small group of Vulnerable/SEN children 11-16yrs on a 1:1 basis.

Level 3 Forest School Leadership qualification would be an advantage but not essential but experience working in the outdoors with SEN children would be an advantage.

The work will be varied and organised around individual needs, but can range from fire lighting and bushcraft to outdoor crafts, woodworking, gardening and nature studies. A cheerful disposition, well organised and lots of get-up-and-go is essential.

You will be expected to be well organised and plan, supply and facilitate your own sessions but also be able to muck-in as part of our team.

We are small enthusiastic team operating from our own beautiful well-equipped site and the work will be for a maximum of 3-4 days per week (term time only) from 9am – 3pm. £12 per hour. Free refreshments and hot lunch provided.

SEN Teaching Assistant/Support Worker 

We are looking for an experienced self employed SEN Teaching Assistant/Support Worker required to work 1:1 with various young people aged 11-16yrs.

Ideal candidate will enjoy supporting a student in outdoor and forest school type activities, woodwork, gardening and arts & crafts and be resilient in all weathers.

You will assist a young person from arrival on site with getting boots & coat on, supporting activities with individual practitioners, help with meals and ablutions and support all collective activities.

Currently one day a week (Weds) but may extend to more in the future.
