Boot-Up! Outdoor Learning offers learning opportunities for students in the 14-19 age range supporting the Further Education curriculum by embedding functional and foundation skills in practical Forest School activities. Students with a range of learning needs are offered tailored programmes of study to focus on practical application of numeracy and literacy.
Students may also work towards SEFL Entry Level 1 qualifications (Levels 1-3). For students over 18 years of age, these qualifications offer opportunity to gain qualification as a Forest School Assistant (Level 2) or Forest School Leader (Level 3).
For Higher Education students, Boot-Up! Outdoor Learning offers volunteering opportunities and work-experience in outdoor learning. For students enrolled on Education courses such as Early Years, Education and Training, Certificates in Education, Boot-Up! Outdoor Learning can offer placement opportunities for students who wish to consider projects in outdoor learning and Forest School.
